Gnocchi

  • 500g potatoes
  • 1¼ cups of flour
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of nutmeg

Peel and chop potatoes, and boil in salted water until tender. Drain water and mash potatoes.

Add flour, salt, and nutmeg and mix into a dough.

Form the dough into a ball and divide in half. Roll each half into a 2cm thick rope, cut into 2 cm pieces and form into balls.

Add gnocchi to a pot of boiling water and cook until the gnocchi float to the top (~5 minutes).

The gnocchi can be frozen to use at a later date as well, cook using the same method.
