Apple crumble slice

  • 150 grams of coconut oil (for base)
  • 80 grams of sugar
  • 250 grams of flour
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 50 grams of finely chopped walnuts
  • 30 grams of coconut oil (for filling)
  • 60 grams of brown sugar
  • 2 apples
  • 50 grams of roughly chopped walnuts

Beat coconut oil and sugar until well combined. Mix in flour, salt and finely chopped walnuts. Set aside 100 grams of this mixture for the topping. Prepare a baking tray and firmly press the mixture in. Bake at 160°C for 5 minutes.

Melt coconut oil and brown sugar over a low heat. Peel and slice apples and stir through.

Layer the apples over the base and spoon over any excess sugar and coconut oil. Stir roughly chopped walnuts into the topping mixture and sprinkle this over the apples. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
